About

Bringing Comfort, Care & Compassion to Your Home

Serving Fredericksburg and surrounding counties since 2019, Magnolia Senior Care Solutions believes quality care begins with understanding. That is why we focus on providing Right-Fit Solutions – personalized care plans to meet each individual exactly where they are. Whether someone needs help with task-based care to help get through the day, support after a hospital stay, or more focused assistance due to a chronic condition, we offer flexible, compassionate services that adapt to your changing needs.

We know that not everyone is ready for full-time care, and that is okay. Our dedicated team takes time to listen, learn your story, and create a care experience that brings comfort, confidence, and peace of mind – without rushing the process.

At Magnolia, it’s not just about what we do, but how we make people feel: supported, respected, and truly cared for in your home.

Meet the Team

Doug Nevitt

Owner

Doug, a proud Virginia native, brings over 31 years of experience in the healthcare industry, driven by a heartfelt commitment to serving seniors and vulnerable populations. As a previously licensed Assisted Living Administrator for more than a decade, he has held a variety of leadership roles—including Senior Executive Director and Preceptor—helping leadership teams navigate transitions in newly acquired communities. Beyond his extensive experience in assisted living, Doug spent two years as a Hospice Director, further deepening his dedication to compassionate, high-quality care. His career has been defined by a steadfast focus on operational excellence, team development, and resident-centered care, ensuring that seniors receive the support they need in a nurturing environment. Doug’s passion for advocacy and leadership led him to serve for six years on the Board of Long-Term Care Administrators, where he contributed to advancing professional standards and regulatory practices in the field. Recognizing the growing need for in-home support, he founded Magnolia Senior Care Solutions—helping families keep their loved ones at home as independently and safely as possible. By drawing on his wealth of experience, Doug provides personalized guidance tailored to each family’s unique needs. Outside of his work, Doug enjoys staying active in his community, mentoring emerging leaders, and spending time with his family. A true sports enthusiast, he proudly cheers on the Washington Capitals, Washington Nationals, Virginia Tech Hokies, and Fred Nats. Through his professional expertise and personal dedication, Doug continues to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and their families.
